Do you think ... it would be hard for me to make friends ? I mean like I make friends easily but idk how I should be approachable in high school when I am in Love with Rebecca Black. I am going to St.Francis Prepatory school in september and I am very overwhelmed (its a HUGE school) help me :) and ideas on how to approach someone ?
ReplyDeleteIt may be a huge school but its filled with many students like you who are feeling the same way. Be yourself, but dont over do it...dont seem desperate about making friends. It could really be maker or breaker of your reputation! Be nice and friendly but at the same time respect other peoples space, leave the door open and be inviting...remember being rude has never helped any body.

take criticism with an open mind and not too heart. most of all, enjoy the ride and look upon it as a journey of unparallel excitement :)

ReplyDeleteI have recently moved into high school and all of my old friends (i found out half way through the year) are b**** soo i was wondering how to go about making new friends x The trouble is everyone is already settled in their friendship groups ... im so confuse.
I know how you feel...has happened to me before. Just mingle a bit.So in your classes hang out with other people , strike up a conversation about the homework assigned or something.If you're into sports or a club or something that's a great way to get to know people . But just be friendly to all sorts of people and you'll find someone you like , and they should like you back. Remember don't be rude to anyone. You may think that some people aren't your "type". But chuck that in the bin. Like you said, everyone has already got into their groups. If anyone is kind enough to become friends with you, don't say that you don't like them.

well, i will need to know the exact circumstances and the situation you are in to give you an accurate answer. but I can give you some general tips-
ReplyDelete- People might tell you to try to not think about that person, but believe me, the more you try not to think about a person the more you actually think about him/her....so dont do that.
-it may sound childish but burning his/her photograph is an effective way (if you have it) to get over your crush
-list out all the bad things you know about that person. doing this will indirectly tell your subconscious brain that he/she is not a good person and if you see the paper everyday, gradually your mind will get off that person and you will stop liking him/her.
- another way is taking your attention off of that person by putting it on another person, by starting to like someone else. i know this is not possible always. if you are a girl then you should probably start getting friendly with other good-looking guys or seeing their pictures and forcing yourself to get interested in them. And, well, if you are a guy, then start being friendly with one single girl and divert your attention to her by admiring her beauty, smartness etc.
- if you see that person everyday, getting over him/her can be tough. but dont lose hope. start diverting your attention to someone else and soon enough you'll be over it (unless you truly LOVED that person, which i m guessing you didnt)
-btw i m sure you are having vacations right now or will be having them soon. during the vacation, dont keep the slightest contact with that person, not even on facebook. NEVER see his/her profile, statuses, pictures etc on facebook. during the holidays keep yourself busy and you will not think about your crush. if you are not able to do that then use my "plan B" which is to divert your attention other good-looking guys/girls which i am sure will be possible for you during your vacation.
